Amir Khusrau: Between the Kings and the Masses

Image
A Visual Exhibition This visual art installation was conceptualized by Yousuf Saeed and designed by Sanjog Sharan (of Karmic Design), assisted by Mrinalini in 2006. These 14 panels visually interpret selections from (14th century Delhi poet) Amir Khusrau's poetry about various concepts like worship, faith, humanity, cleanliness, justice, royalty, bravery, truth, love and desire etc. The artworks were printed on large sized panels and installed at the Indian Social Forum 2006 at New Delhi for a few days in November 2006. They were also exhibited later at the India Habitat Centre (New Delhi), Nehru Memorial Museum (Teen Murti House) and Ramjas College, Delhi. Sanjog Sharan, an artist and designer par excellence, is no more with us. He left us on 29 October 2020 after an illness. This web gallery is a tribute to his creativity.
